Auto Theft Discovered from Sober Living Home According to a police announcement, a second woman, Nicolle Walters, 45, reported that her 2004 gray Toyota Sienna was missing, along with her vehicle key. Walters, who manages two female recovery residences, named the alleged thief as Alyssa Wilson at Diana’s House Sober Living, located approximately 60 minutes north-west of LA. “The keys were stolen out of my house manager’s purse. I arrived just as it was happening,” she said, noting that the minivan is designated for the sobriety home’s tasks. High-Speed Pursuit Develops Across Several Regions Officials located the van about 19 kilometers north in Simi Valley, where they tried to initiate a traffic stop, but the suspect did not comply and accelerated rapidly. She reached speeds of about 90mph on the 118 freeway until the pursuit continued into LA County. At that point, Ventura county authorities transferred the operation to the California highway patrol once the driver entered the 405 freeway heading south. “This incident is very unique in the context of the road situation allowing individuals to persist on the highway and extend this chase,” said a spokesperson from the Ventura county sheriff’s office. Wilson reportedly avoided all the spike strips tossed on the road by police, as documented in aerial videos. International Getaway and Aftermath Developments The pursuit finally arrived at the US-Mexico border by early afternoon, prompting the CHP to end its pursuit due to jurisdictional constraints. Walters stated on Tuesday that the vehicle was situated in Tijuana, Mexico and that she was coordinating with the CHP to recover the vehicle. “Ultimately, I’m not concerned with the car,” Walters said. “I’m more at ease knowing she was not injured. The minivan is replaceable.” Owner’s Perspective The sober living home owner, who has operated Diana’s House Sober Living since last October, acknowledges that the journey toward sobriety from addiction and emotional distress is not always linear. “This is a psychological and addiction crisis,” Walters emphasized. “We need more support.
